Updated: DADS to host Consumer Directed Services town hall meetings in July and August

The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) will hold a series of town hall meetings in July and August to provide an opportunity for DADS consumers and family members, service providers and the public to learn more about the Consumer Directed Services (CDS) service delivery option available in many Texas programs.

Click here for the meeting schedule.

What is CDS?

Consumer Directed Services allows consumers or their legally authorized representatives to self-direct program services by recruiting, hiring, training, supervising and terminating their service providers. People who use the CDS option must work with a consumer directed services agency, which provides financial management services such as processing payroll and related taxes. For more information, please visit the CDS website.

These meetings will include an information session and an opportunity to ask questions. Registration is not required and attendance is free.
