Element 1 - Deficiencies that DO NOT Include Identifiers
Element 1 also applies to deficiencies/violations that do not include specific identifiers; in other words, the deficiencies do not affect specifically identified individuals.
However these are deficiencies/violations of certain operational requirements that have the potential to affect all individuals of the facility. All individuals of the facility would be identified.
Examples of deficiencies/violations without identifiers include failure to:
- develop policies that prohibit abuse and neglect;
- prohibit the employment of child and/or client abusers;
- ensure quarterly evacuation drills; and
- designate a director of food services.
If no individuals are identified, then facilities must state what they have done about the identified issue(s).
