Texercise is a program of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS)
In July 2007, the Heart of Texas Area Agency on Aging launched Texercise programs in their six-county region. The idea behind the 12-week program is to establish a pattern of exercise that would continue well past the 12 weeks.
To date, presentations of t-shirts and certificates have taken place at seven facilities, involving 176 residents and 18 staff. It is not too late to start Texercise.
