Stakeholder meeting regarding renewal of the Home and Community-based Services waiver

The Home and Community-based Services (HCS) waiver is scheduled for renewal by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on Sept. 1, 2013. In preparation for the renewal, the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) is conducting a stakeholder meeting.

Since the last waiver renewal was five years ago, certain sections of the waiver application will need updating. The waiver application is available for review in PDF format on the DADS website.  A guide to reviewing the waiver application (PDF format) will identify different sections of the waiver application template in order to aid in your review process.

If you have any questions about accessing the waiver application or the template itself, please email the Policy Development and Oversight staff at hcs@dads.state.tx.us.

Attendees will have an opportunity at the meeting to submit written comments and questions for discussion. No formal public testimony will be taken at this meeting.
