Home and Community Based Services case management transition
Senate Bill 1, Section 48, 81st Texas Legislature (2009), mandated the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) transfer case management functions in the Home and Community-based Services (HCS) program from the HCS provider to the state's local authorities. Implementation occured statewide on June 1, 2010.
After June 1, 2010, individuals enrolled in the HCS Program services receive service coordination from their local authority.
