PURPOSE

To serve as a mass allotment change notification letter for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Combined Application Project (SNAP-CAP) recipients.

PROCEDURE

When to Prepare

SNAP-CAP allotments may be subject to change during cost of living adjustments or other events.

Health and Human Services Commission state office automatically sends recipients this notice with information on the amount of allotment increases or decreases, the effective date of change, where to call if the individual has questions and the right to appeal.

Number of Copies

An original only.

Transmittal

State office automatically mails notices to individuals who remain eligible for SNAP-CAP.

Note: Form H1843 is only used for mass SNAP-CAP allotment updates.
