Report of Noncooperation

PURPOSE
The attorney general's office sends information on
computer tape to HHSC to
- notify the TANF advisor of a determination of
noncooperation on the part of the TANF recipient with the Child
Support Enforcement Program;
- provide the TANF advisor with the information needed
to implement the removal of the TANF recipient's benefits; and
- inform the TANF recipient of the action they must take
in order to cooperate with the Child Support Program
requirements. The child support officer sends the TANF recipient
a Noncooperation Cover Letter, Form H1713.
PROCEDURE
When to Prepare
Upon receipt of the attorney general's tape, HHSC state
office produces and mails Form H1708-A to the TANF advisor.
Note: Form H1708-A is
for TANF cases only.
Distribution
1st copy — mailed to TANF advisor
2nd copy — mailed to TANF supervisor
Form Retention
Retain in case record for three years after denial of
the case.
