The budget and certified group consists of the applicant only.

Example: Robert Smith, age 20, lives with his wife. Robert was receiving foster care and was under the state’s conservatorship on his 18th birthday. Robert applies for and is eligible for Medicaid for Transitioning Foster Care Youth. The budget and certified group consists of only Robert. His wife is not included in the budget or certified group.

There are no verification requirements for household determination. Accept individual’s statement as verification.
